My name is Rudy
I grew up in Combloux and went to school in Megeve. I have been driving the roads of Haute-Savoie for more than twenty years, and two years ago I founded Ultimate SUMMIT to make it my profession.
I did not learn this valley from a map. I know the back roads, the hours when the traffic turns, and what snow changes about a route depending on whether it is December or March.
When you book, I am the one who answers, and I am the one who comes to collect you.
What twenty years on these roads change
One example, because it says more than any statement of intent. On Sunday evenings, the descent towards Geneva fills up all at once: Swiss holidaymakers leave the resorts at the same hour. From four in the afternoon I always add a margin to the departure time. By five, the main road is blocked. That is when I switch to an alternative route I prefer to keep to myself.
This is why I never give a departure time at random. When you tell me your flight time, I work the calculation backwards: the real journey time for that season, the state of the road that day, the margin for check-in. The figure I give you is one I have weighed.
A satnav will tell you the journey time right now. It will not tell you what the road will be like in two hours.
Excellence, down to the last detail
Punctuality
A flight that lands on time asks nothing of anyone. The job is decided by the others. I track your flight in real time: if your aircraft is two hours late, I know before you do, I shift my departure, and you have no call to make. The waiting is not charged to you.
When the day goes wrong
In high season the delays compound: a shifted flight, a saturated border queue at Geneva on a school-holiday Saturday, and the whole day slides. I warn the next client before they notice. And if I cannot be in two places at once, I hand over to an independent colleague I vouch for.
Twenty minutes early
For departures I would rather be twenty minutes early outside your chalet than have you watching the clock. Those twenty minutes are mine, not yours. Since founding Ultimate SUMMIT, I have never left anyone stranded.
The vehicle
A Mercedes V-Class 4Matic, 2025 model. In this valley all-wheel drive is not a comfort option: it is the difference between getting up the hill and waiting at the bottom. Seven seats, genuine room for skis, Wi-Fi, water and chargers on board.
I know my car
Before becoming a chauffeur I was a diagnostic technician at BMW. It does not show when everything runs well, and that is rather the point: it means I know exactly what condition my vehicle is in, and I service it before a problem arrives.
Discretion, in practice
It is not a pose. It is not starting a conversation when you are working in the back. It is never discussing one journey with another client. It is not photographing the car outside your chalet for my social media. If you would rather have silence, tell me once: I will remember next time.
The fare, and the language
The price I quote is for the whole vehicle. Whether you are two or seven changes nothing. No luggage supplement, no ski supplement, no night surcharge, and no meter: the fare is confirmed before we set off.
I speak French and English. I have travelled, and I converse with my international clients without difficulty. In Megeve this is not a flourish: a good part of the winter clientele is British, American or Scandinavian. Your English-speaking guests will not have to repeat their address three times.
I drive around the clock, nights and public holidays included, by reservation only. A four o’clock start is no trouble: in winter that is half the airport transfers.
